Boomer started armwrestling at the age of 13. He won several teenage titles. He won his first Pro Event when he was 16. At the age of 18 he won the 154 lb. right hand Amateur Division at the World Wristwrestling Championships. He also has State titles in Ohio and Pennsylvania. He was 4th place at the 2006 Arnold Classic.
